BEDFORD MAN, 74, DIES IN 2-CAR CRASH

State police identified the victim as Richard Tazewell DeShazo.

When DeShazo approached U.S. 460 from the south on Virginia 767 near Blue Ridge, he did not yield to traffic traveling west on 460, according to police.

DeShazo's car struck another vehicle, injuring the driver. Both were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where DeShazo died shortly after noon. No information was available on the other driver.
