FOCUS 2006 MEETING TONIGHT

"Focus 2006: Where Is It Going?'' will be the discussion topic at the meeting tonight of Montgomery County Mainstream Citizens.

The public is invited to the 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Christiansburg High School library to participate in a discussion about the county's education initiatives.

Goals 2006 Chairman Tom Sherman will make opening statements. School Board Vice Chairman Barry Worth and Board of Supervisors representative Joe Gorman will also speak and answer questions from the audience.

Next month's meeting, titled "Schools or Prisons?" and scheduled for Oct. 26, will examine the relationship between education and incarceration.
