LIONS CLUB GOVERNOR TO VISIT FLOYD CHAPTER

Nelson Leftwich Jr., the area's governor of the Lions Club, will visit the Floyd County chapter Oct. 2.

The meeting will be held at Stonewall Bed and Breakfast on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd at 6:30 p.m.

Club members and Floyd residents are invited to attend.

Leftwich was born in Bedford County in 1941. He has been governor of the Lions Club District 24E since June. The district includes most of Southwest Virginia.

He has 25 years perfect attendance in the Lions Club.

Leftwich travels worldwide to talk about the Lions and has been to Korea and Canada for conferences and seminars. He will update the group on those trips Monday and will make suggestions as to how the group can have a better year.

Leftwich's duties are to visit clubs and promote membership. For more information, call Don Stansell at 745-4121.
