HOFSTRA THUMPS LIBERTY

Kharon Brown ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more Friday night as Hofstra routed Liberty 36-10 in college football.

Brown rushed for 121 yards on 15 carries and scored on runs of 8 and 67 yards. He completed 12 of 29 passes for 160 yards and connected with Bob Grogan on a 47-yard touchdown pass and Nick Johnson on a 10-yarder.

Grogan had five receptions for 109 yards and Paul Que rushed for 101 yards on 15 carries for the Flying Dutchman (5-0), ranked No. 19 in Division I-AA.
