BRENT STAPLES TO LECTURE

Journalist and author Brent Staples will present a lecture Fridayat 7 p.m. at Roanoke College's Olin Theater. The event is free, but reservations are required. Staples, a Roanoke native and New York Times editorial board member, wrote ``Parallel Time: Growing Up in Black and White.''
