APT, Lethia Custer Manning, 61, of Roanoke, died Friday, September 29, 1995. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing. She is survived by Millard R. Manning; her daughter, Regina Manning Morris, Buchanan; her sons, Bob Manning, Roanoke Co., SPC. Linville Manning, US Army, Fort Bragg, N.C.; her much beloved daughter-in-law, Cheryl Manning, Roanoke Co.; two grandchildren, Brandon and Brittney Manning. Also survived by Howard Apt, Danville; her brother, Lewis Custer, Blackstone; sisters, Theresa Smith, Roanoke, Dean Lancaster, Bent Mountain, Mary Schilling, Fla., Artie Jones, Richmond. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 2, 1995, with Rev. Derry Gray officiating at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel after 1 p. m. Sunday. Lethia was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and best friend. Through her nursing she cared for others for 41 years. Throughout her life she cared for many family members and dear friends. She will be remembered and missed by all her loved ones.

BOBZIN, Robert Clarence, 58, of Radford, died Friday, September 29, 1995, at his home. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was a retired Supervisor for AT&T, with 39 years service. Survivors include his wife, Carol M. Bobzin, Radford; a son , William Patrick Bobzin, Radford; his mother, Marie Schmidt O'Burg, Cicero, Ill.; a brother, Herbert Harold Bobzin, La Grange Park, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Darlene Hatak, Brookfield, Ill. A Christian Wake service will be held Monday, October 2,1995, at 7 p.m. at the St. Jude Catholic Church, with Father Jim Grealish, the Rev. John McCandlish and the Rev. Mr. Charles Birx officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the St. Jude Catholic Church. BRAMLETT, Elwood Lee, 59, of Vinton, died Friday, September 29, 1995 at Avante Nursing Home. He was retired from Fred Whitaker Company. Surviving are his wife, Diane English Bramlett; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Gina Bramlett, Goodview, Ronnie and Wendy Bramlett, Thaxton, Danny and Naomi Bramlett, Goodview; his mother, Margaret Bramlett, Vinton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Louise and John Tice, Montvale, Marlene Shilling, Roanoke; six grandchildren, Shannon, Sherry, LeAnne, Amber, Beth Ann, and Daniel Bramlett. BROWN, Wesley A., 88, of Roanoke, died Friday, September 29,1995 in a local hospital. Born September 11,1907, son of the late James Robert and Sarah Fox Brown, he was a member of Raleigh Count United Methodist Church and former long-time member of West End United Methodist Church, owner of Brown's Electric, Grandin Road, S.W., for many years, and a charter member of Raleigh Court Lions Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Philip. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Southall Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Boo Bethune, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandsons and their wives, Robert and Sandy Bethune, Lawrenceville, Ga., Brown Bethune, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Philip and Amanda Bethune, Cleveland, Ohio; two great-grandsons, Tyler Bethune, Lawrenceville, Ga. and Beau Bethune, Cleveland, Ohio; also a sister-in-law, Florrie S. Perkins. Funeral services will be at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 1995, with Dr. John Wesley Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. DILLARD, Emory Dean, 53, of 112 Roark Street, Hurt, died Saturday, September 30, 1995. Born in Hurt on January 13, 1942, he was a son of Eloise Short Farmer of Hurt and the late Lucian A. Dillard. He was an employee of Friendship Manor, where he was a master cabinetmaker. Mr. Dillard was a member of various photographer, craftsman and woodmaster guilds. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Pamela Joy Dillard of Herndon, and a brother, Larry Dillard of Front Royal. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 2, 1995, at Hurt United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marianne Bird. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. DOYLE, James Ledell, 63, of Blacksburg, died Friday, September 29, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Born in Ridgewood, N.J., on December 7, 1931, he was a son of the late Joseph Blaze and Ada Myer Doyle. He was an engineer with Hercules Inc. for 18 years, and in December of 1980, he went to work with Aramco and worked in Saudi Arabia until his retirement in December of 1992. Surviving are his wife, Valta D. Doyle; three sons and daughter-in-law, James L. Jr. and Debbie Ann Doyle, Lacrescenta, Calif., Joseph L. Doyle and future wife, Tara Durkin, Glendale, Calif.; Jeffery L. Doyle, Orlando, Fla.; a granddaughter, Shannon Natalee Doyle, Lacrescenta, Calif.; a brother, Joseph B. Doyle Jr., Stuart, Fla.; a cousin, Robert Myer, Cummings, Ga., and a niece, Susan Williams, Dallas, Texas. NINMANN, Veda Weddle, 77, of Floyd, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 29, 1995 in a Salem hospital. She was a lifetime member of Topeco Church of The Brethren where she played the piano and organ for over sixty years. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Franz F. Ninmann. Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl N. and Donald W. Waldron, Bent Mountain; son, Benny Ninmann, Lancaster, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law, John Galen and Mildred E. Weddle, Floyd; sister-in-law, Eliza Ninmann, Shawano, Wis.; two grandchildren, Jonathan W. Waldron and wife, Sue, Check, Susan W. Thomas and husband, George, Roanoke. PARCELL, Odelle Wright, 91, of Route 2, Rocky Mount, died Saturday morning, September 30,1995, at Franklin Health Care Center. She was the widow of Charlie Newton Parcell and was a member of Chestnut Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Parcell was a graduate of Salem High School and Radford College and taught for 43 1/2 years in the Franklin County Public Schools. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, C. Noell and Peggy Parcell, Rocky Mount; one daughter, Lois P. Farrish, Scottsville; eight grandchildr en, Susan Parcell-Bindewald, Tony Parcell, Dr. Sarah P. Farrell, Becky P. Flora, Charley Parcell, Michael Farrish, Gary Farrish, Ellen F. Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Caroline Catron, Vera and Fred Prather, all of Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Annie B. He was a retired foreman for Walker Machine Foundry, and was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Leroy Smoot, and a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Aldridge. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Dorothy E. WILLIAMS, Fred N., 63, of Marion, died Thursday, September 28, 1995, at his home. Mr. Williams was employed by C. E. Dalton at Dalton Grocery, Railroad Avenue, from 1951 - 1958, for Joe Groseclose at Joe's Market, Chatham Hill Road, from 1958 - 1980, and owned and operated Fred's Market from 1980 - 1989, when he retired due to health reasons. WOODS, Margie Glass, 81, of Marion, died Friday, September 29, 1995 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Survivors include three daughters, Violet Marie Blevins, Marion, Lockie Perdue and Shirley Perdue, both of Mayberry, W. Va.; three sons, James E. Woods, and Leroy Woods, both of Marion, Richard Woods, Emalena, KY.; one brother, Robert Glass, Amelia, Va.; one sister, Emma Lou Havens, Amelia, Va.; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren- and two great-great-grandchildren. WRIGHT, Etta Fridley, 85, of Bedford, formerly of Covington, died Friday, September 29, 1995 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home. She had made her residence with her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Betty Wright, of 1109 Maiden Lane, Bedford. Mrs. Wright was born May 30,1910 in Augusta Springs, Va., the daughter of the late James M. and Nellie Downey Fridley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Francis Wright in 1976 and by one brother. Surviving, in addition to her son and daughter-in-law, are two grandchildren, Tressa Jo and Michael Orange, Montvale, and Wayne A. Wright Jr., Bedford; three great-grandchildren, Dexter A. Orange, Michael A. Orange Jr. and Samantha Jo Orange, all of Montvale; and one sister, Mrs. Mary F. Goff of Laurel, Delaware. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. William M. Harris Jr. o fficiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memoral Park.
