A 65-year-old Salem man was killed in a head-on collision Monday morning in Northwest Roanoke.

About 8:40, Elmer E. Amos was traveling north in the 1700 block of 10th Street when a car traveling south veered into his lane. Amos was pronounced dead at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, according to Roanoke police.
