ROANOKER ARRESTED IN OFFICE BREAK-IN

A 22-year-old Northwest Roanoke man was arrested in connection with a break-in at First Union Tower on Sunday afternoon, police said.

About 3:13, an attorney working in the building called police after he saw an unknown man in a colleague's office. The man was using a computer and refused to accompany the attorney to the security office. The man tried to leave the building but was unable to because the doors were locked.

Police arrested Alexandro Feliciano of the 1800 block of 10th Street Northwest and charged him with burglary. He remained in the Roanoke City Jail late Monday.

In another incident, a 41-year-old woman said she was assaulted early Sunday by a man on Day Avenue Southwest.

Police gave this account: The woman was dropped off in the 600 block of Day Avenue about 2:50 a.m. There were several men on a nearby porch.

One of the men told her that the others were talking about raping her. The woman accompanied him to the side of the house, where he forced her into the basement, partially stripping her.

The woman was treated at Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. No arrests have been made.
