Bath County held Glenvar (2-3, 0-2) to 106 yards total offense and never allowed the Highlanders closer than the Chargers' 25-yard line.
James River 40, Craig County 6: In New Castle, the Knights' running attack took over after a tight first quarter, and James River kept the Rockets winless in the Pioneer District.
Billy Joe Carter's 17-yard touchdown run put the Knights (5-1, 2-0) on the board in the opening period, and James River opened it up with 19 points in the second quarter.

Blankenship, a Craig County (0-5, 0-3) running back, was being tackled for a 16-yard loss when he coughed up the ball.
Shahan Burrell kept the running game alive for James River, galloping 26 yards in the third quarter for a score. He gained 128 yards on 12 carries. Burrell's yards alone equaled Craig County's team total. James River outran Craig County 283-128.

Jason Blankenship made up for a second-quarter fumble in the fourth quarter by helping the Rockets (0-5, 0-3) avert the shutout. He took the ball for a 43-yard scoring run and finished with 96 yards on 18 carries.
