RAMS TORCHED BY FLAMES

Highland started a comeback attempt against Eastern Mennonite in the third quarter, but it was too little too late, as the Flames burned the Rams 81-44 in a non-district girls' high school basketball game Friday night.

Julie Shultzfus led Mennonite with 19 points and highly-recruited Michelle Weaver scored 17. Abby Brookshire chipped in 18 points and Emily Mullett added ten.

Tammy Shiflett led Highland (1-6) with a game-high 21 points and Amy Neal added an even dozen in the losing effort.
