RUSH DOWNS D.C. CHIEFS

The Roanoke Rush ran its win streak to three with a 35-27 victory Saturday night over the D.C. Chiefs in National Minor League Football action at Victory Stadium.

Billy Pate led Roanoke (5-3, 4-3) in rushing with 125 yards and three touchdowns. Former Virginia Tech player Ranall White added 81 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Quarterback T. J. Jackson completed 3 of 5 passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Pate put the game away for the Rush with a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter to put the Rush ahead 28-27.

The Rush is 5-3 overall, 4-3 in the Mid-Atlantic Division.

This is the third victory for the Rush over the Washington teams this season. The Chiefs are 2-6.
