McNALLY, Gladys Marie, 79, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, October 7, 1995, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on March 26, 1916, in Overton County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Hamby Johnson. She was retired from Stonewall Jackson Hospital as a nurse's aide, and was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Russell McNally, who died December 25, 1976. Surviving are five daughters, Marie Cash, Carolyn Staton, Wanda Sorrells and Lyda Byers, all of Buena Vista, and Lois Craig, Madison, Tenn.; one son, James McNally, Warren, Ohio; two sisters, Lola Bilbrey, Monterey, Tenn., and Ollie Bell Hodge, Niles, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Greg M artin officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Home.

BRILLHEART, Ione Elizabeth, 90, of Dublin, died Saturday afternoon, October 7, 1995, in the Highland Manor Nursing Home, Dublin, Va. She was born in Pulaski Co. on May 18, 1905, and was the daughter of the late J. W. and Gillie S. Brillheart. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, J. B. Brillheart Sr., Jerry Brillheart, Ralph Brillheart and Glen Brillheart. She was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for 35 years. She taught school in Pulaski County for 44 years. Surviving are her brother, Walter Brillheart, Richmond; three sisters, Madeline B. Farmer, Dublin, Barbara B. Heer, Dublin, Greta B. Morrell, Dublin; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Dublin United Methodist Church Organ Fund. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.

BRYANT, Susie Ann, 69, of Christiansburg, died Friday, October 6, 1995 in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Allen Bryant and is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Nathan Dickerson, Christiansburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Shirley Bryant, Lloyd and Louvenia Bryant, all of Riner, David Bryant, Christiansburg; a brother, J. C. Trail, Salem; two sisters, Eva Light, Christiansburg, Mary Elizabeth Trail, Bedford; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Christiansburg Mennonite Fellowship on Cedarwood Drive, conducted by Pastor Mark Akers, with interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at noon Monday. Friends may call at the residence and at the church Monday and Monday evening. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.

DOWNEY, Conrad Lewis, 78, of Blue Ridge, died Saturday, October 7, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Dene H. Downey; a sister, Lottie Hensley of Richmond, and several nieces and nephews. HAMBRICK, Curtis Nelson, 60, of Weeki Wachee, Fla., died Saturday, October 7, 1995 at Tampa, Fla. He was born in Bedford, Va. He moved to Weeki Wachee from Arlington, Va. in 1993. He was a Program Coordinator for the Dept. of the Navy. He is survived by his wife, Frankie Hambrick, Weeki Wachee, Fla.; a son, Curtis Hambrick II, Marshall, Va.; daughter, Bambi Woods, Winter Haven, Fla.; sister, Genetta Lewis, Bedford; six grandchildren. KESSLER, Glenna Mae Hughes, 82, of Roanoke, widow of Frank E. Kessler Sr., died Sunday, October 8, 1995, at her home. Survivors include three sons, Vernon R. Kessler, Rodney Kessler, both of Roanoke, Frank E. Kessler Jr., Buchanan Co.; daughter and son-in-law, Izetta and Alfred Fisher, Fincastle; brother, Bernard Hughes, Salem; grandchildren, Sandra Snow, Vickie Craft, Joanne Aleshire, Felicia Hancock, Angela Kessler and Amanda Kessler; great-grandchildren, Sheena Craft, Melissa Craft, Scott Snow, Howard Snow, Joseph Aleshire, Jennifer Snow and Christopher Aleshire. KLOUS, Louise Morgan, of Roanoke, widow of Col. D. Donald Klous, died Sunday, October 8, 1995. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

KRISCH, Joel, 71, of Roanoke, died Sunday, October 8, 1995. He graduated from Jefferson High School, attended Virginia Tech and served in the U. S. Army from 1943-1945. After service he joined his family's United Pawn Shop in Roanoke, where he worked as a pawnbroker, retailer and diamond merchant. In 1956, Mr. Krisch and his siblings founded American Motor Inns, Inc. (AMI), which grew to become the largest Holiday Inn franchisee. He was President of AMI, which had over 50 hotels in 13 states and the U. S. Virgin Islands; and through a subsidiary (Universal Communication Systems, Inc.) sold telephone equipment in 38 states. AMI was sold in 1984 and in 1985 Mr. Krisch and other associates founded Krisch Hotels, Inc., another hotel firm which at its peak, managed 44 hotels. He also developed other real estate projects including apartments, nursing homes, condominiums and townhouses. He was a Mason (Lakeland Lodge) and a Shriner (Kazim Temple) a member of the American Legion and the B'nai B'rith. He belonged to Temple Emanuel and Beth Israel Congregations of Roanoke, also Hunting Hills Country Club of Roanoke and The Suburban Club of Baltimore. He was a director of The Bank of Virginia Company (Richmond), the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce, The Salvation Army, Virginia Tech Educational Foundation and the Roanoke Valley Virginia Tech Advisory Council. He was a trustee of Goucher College, Towson, Maryland. He received the keys to the City of Baltimore, Md. and the City of Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Nancy S. Krisch; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn K. Oelschlager and Waldemar A. Oelschlager of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Linda K. Vinson and Edward B. Vinson of Baltimore, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel J. Krisch, II and Pamela A. Krisch of Roanoke. He is survived by seven grandchildren, Jacqueline A. Loeb, Sara E. Vinson, David H. Krisch, Peggy A. Krisch, Ingrid K. Oelschlager, Roland A. Oelschlager and Dieter E. Oelschlager. He also leaves a sister and brother-in- law, Rosalie and Sydney Shaftman and a nephew, Fredrick K. Shaftman, all of Roanoke; and four nieces. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Tuesday at 12 noon. Interment will be private. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Temple Emanuel of Roanoke or The Salvation Army of Roanoke.

LINKOUS, Howard Essie, 78, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, October 8, 1995, at his home. He was a retired employee of Radford Community Hospital and a member of the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna G. Linkous; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Audrey Huffman; sons and daughter-in-law, Woody and Joan Linkous, Gene Linkous, all of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Paula and Mike Hill, Amanda, Chance, Brooke, and Ericka Linkous, Doris and Rex Shelor, Geneva and Anthony Watson; three great-grandchildren, Wesley Hill, Jordan and Luke Watson; sisters, Kathleen Linkous, Pauline Nester, Elizabeth Perfater, and Lillian Richardson; one brother, Harless Linkous and many special friends. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Sloss, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. LOVERN, Harless Lee, 82, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 7, 1995. He was the son of the late Matthew Lee and Gaynie Ann Sweeney Lovern. Mr. Lovern attended the Blacksburg Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. He retired from Hercules on May 1, 1974. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bland Lovern, two daughters, Judy Marie Lovern and Peggy L. Elliott, two grandsons, Stephen C. Rice and Darrell K. Price, and one brother, Hubert Lovern. Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons and da ughters-in-law, Randol H. and Josephine Lovern, Edward M. and Connie Lovern; one son-in-law, Rodrick Elliott, all of Blacksburg; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy L. and Larry Thompson, Shirley L. and Clarence Price, all of Blacksburg, Christine L. and William Rice, Blue Ridge. In addition to his children, he leaves behind 12 brokenhearted grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to two grandchildren, Wanda Slusser and Rickie Lovern for all their devoted care. He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Dorothy Lovern; and one sister, Viola Huffman, all of Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at Blacksburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. MALOOF, Peter Michael, 69, of Lynchburg, died Friday, October 6, 1995. Mr. Maloof was born in Roanoke, a son of the late Michael Peter Maloof and Zelma Ghadour Maloof. He was the owner of Lynchburg Pipe and Tobacco Shoppe and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Jabbour Maloof. Surviving are a son, Peter Ernest Maloof, Marina Del Rey, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Selma and Dr. William Kossol; one granddaughter, Kelsey Kossol, all of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Alexander Maloof, Lynchburg and George Maloof, Plymouth, N.H. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Diocesan Cemetery. McCROSKEY, Richard L., 72, of Chesterfield Co., left the life on Sunday, October 8, 1995 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a native of Schoolfield, Va., son of the late Frank and Bertha McGuire McCroskey. He was a retired civil service employee of Defense General Supply Center, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Post 284, and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Chapter 47. He was a member of the Colonial Heights Church of the Nazarene, where he faithfully served for 17 years as Sunday School Superintendent, adult Sunday School teacher, a member of the Board, Trustee, and groundskeeper. He is survived by his beloved wife, Agnes Urban Lyman McCroskey; a daughter, Carolyn M. Flaherty of Chester; three sons, Allan I. McCroskey of Salem, Michael E. McCroskey of Richmond and Richard F. McCroskey of Aylett, Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Lorine M. Stallings of Baltimore, Md., Nancy M. Hyler of Brosville, Va. and Pat M. Cote of Danville. He was predeceased by a stepson, Robert (Bobby) Lyman. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Va., with his former Pastor and friend, the Reverend Don Williams, his present Pastor, the Reverend Lowell Chancy, a dear friend, the Rev. Clyde E. Dalton and a former Pastor, the Reverend W. A. Dayton officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
