This year's new attraction is a storytelling stage, which will feature traditional raconteurs from Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina and Scotland. African-American tales, Jack Tales and stories from personal experiences will be told. Other events include music on two stages. One stage will host various styles of religious music, the second will have a ``Blue Ridge Sampler'' of blues, ballads and stringband music.
Approximately 50 craftspeople will be on hand to demonstrate their techniques; some will also have works for sale. Children's events, animal contests, an antique autos display and a quilting exhibition will also be presented. Authentic Blue Ridge foods will be available. Festival admission is $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and children.
