Parry McCluer (8-5, 6-2) was led by Lindsey Coleman, who scored a game-high 20 points.
Rockbridge 57, Northside 56: Carmen Hambrick scored the go-ahead basket with under a minute to go and Natalie Wallace sank two free throws in the waning seconds to seal the Wildcats' inaugural Blue Ridge District victory.
With 30 seconds on the clock, Hambrick sank an inside shot to put the Wildcats (3-10, 1-4) ahead 55-54. After a turnover, Wallace was fouled and she drilled both of her free throws with only seven ticks left to ice the win.
Crystal Barrett led Northside (8-8, 2-3) with 16 points and Amy Heath added 14.
Covington 66, James River 47: In Buchanan, junior Joann Helton scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Cougars to a Pioneer Distict victory.
Helton scored nine of her 23 points in the decisive second quarter. Julie Firebaugh scoered a team-high 17 for James River.
William Byrd 64, Alleghany 40 Cathy Smith, last season's Blue Ridge District co-player of the year, broke out of a scoring slump with 30 points to lead the Terriers to a Blue Ridge District victory in Low Moor.
Smith scored 12 of her team's 18 points in the third quarter as the Terriers opened up a 26-point lead.
Bath County 50, Craig County 16 All 12 Bath County players scored as the Chargers cruised to a Pioneer District win in Hot Springs.
Suzanne Shanks scored a career-high 11 points and Katie Hardbarger scored a game-high 12 to lead Bath (6-8, 5-3). Bonnie Boardwine scored seven to head up the Rockets (1-12, 1-8).
