The reading will be held in the Price House at the Women's Center of Virginia Tech. 1995 Blue Ridge Ball

BLACKSBURG - The Board of Directors of the New River Valley Friends of the Roanoke Symphony will present the 1995 Blue Ridge Ball, "An Autumn Night's Dream," on Saturday, Oct. 28. This black tie event begins at 7 p.m. at the German Club in Blacksburg and includes dining, dancing, and music

Lisa Wright and Leigh Powell Roederer are co-chairwomen, assisted by Mary Dritselis. The ball generates funds for local musical educational programs and concerts sponsored by the organization. A silent auction will be conducted throughout the evening. Tickets are $60. Call 552-3779.

Lecture on fall sky

Brian Dennison, professor, Virginia Tech physics department, will lecture at Horton Center Studio on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. The lecture is followed by an evening in the observatory.
