GLENVAR RIPS HIGHLAND CO.

Glenvar's press forced Highland County into numerous turnovers early in its 70-34 Pioneer District girls' high school basketball victory on Saturday at Glenvar.

The Highlanders (12-6 overall, 10-0 district) were led by Erika Hale, who scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Amanda Kennedy added 14 points and Amy Layman dished out eight assists.

Highland County (2-13 overall, 1-7 district) was led by Amy Neil, who scored in 16 points.
