Brooks-Williams

Terri Lynn Brooks and Christopher Blaine Williams are engaged and planning to be married June 8, 1996. The bride to be is the daughter of Mrs. Jean H. Brooks and the late Ronald L. Brooks, Sr. and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin C. Dean. She is a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Western Community College, where she received an Associates Degree in Mental Health. She is employed by Roanoke County Parks and Recreation and will be attending Radford University next fall. The groom to be is the son of Mrs. Charlsie O. Williams and the late Theo E. Williams. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and has served six years with the United States Air Force. He is a Sales Representative with 84 Lumber of Salem.

Cronise-Gray

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin R. Cronise are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn Cronise, to James Edward Gray, son of Ms. Patricia Coffman and Mr. Robert Gray, Jr. A December wedding is planned.

Dampeer-Draper

Rev. and Mrs. H. Kelly Dampeer Sr. of Roanoke wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Dampeer, to Kyle T. Draper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby T. Draper of Martinsville. Derey-Brogdon

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Walter Derey of Roanoke, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Celeste Tatum Derey of Raleigh, North Carolina, to Douglas William Brogdon, of Raleigh, son of Capt. and Mrs. William J. Brogdon, of Cape Carteret, North Carolina.

Hinkle-Reyna

Miss Hinkle is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lovick M. Hinkle, Jr., of Vinton, Va. She graduated from Staunton River High School, Moneta, Va., and is employed as a graphic artist in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Reyna is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Reyna of Mission, Texas. He is a graduate of Mission High School, Mission, Texas, and is employed as a U.S. Customs Inspector in Laredo, Texas.

Hosp-Day

Elizabeth Bennett Hosp and Richard Ernest Day, Jr., are engaged and are planning to be married in December. Elizabeth is the daughter of Mrs. William Brokaw Hosp and the late Mr. Hosp. She lives in Tampa, Florida, and is a Manager with American Family Restaurants, Inc. Richard is the son of Mr. Richard Ernest Day and Mrs. William Alfred Crandall. He is employed by Summit Helicopters, Inc., and he lives at Moneta, Virginia.

Neuhs-Craft

Sandra Kay Neuhs and Carl Edward Craft of Botetourt County announce their engagement and plan to be married December 23, 1995, at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Sandi is the daughter of Ms. Laura Barker Dolinger of Daleville and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neuhs of Covington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Neuhs of Boones Mill, Mrs. Goldie Jones of Covington and the late Mr. Jame s Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Clifford Barker. Sandi is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by the Bank of Fincastle.

Carl is the son of Mrs. Minnie H. Craft of Eagle Rock and the late Mr. Richard W. Craft. He is the grandson of Mrs. Nettie Craft of Covington and the late Mr. Carl Craft and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hostetter. Carl is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and is employed by Botetourt County

Patterson-van Doorn

Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Patterson of Vinton announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Jane, to Eric van Doorn, son of Ms. Gijsberta W. van den Berg of Breukelen, The Netherlands, and Mr. Marten van Doorn of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Carol is a graduate of William Byrd High School and the University of Virginia. She has an M.A. in Sociology from Duke University. She will receive a Ph.D. in Sociology from Duke in the spring of 1996.

Eric is a graduate of Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He will receive his Ph.D. in Physics from Du ke University in late 1996.

The wedding is planned for June 1, 1996, in Durham, North Carolina

Payne-Scott

Angela M. Payne and Ronald E. Scott Jr. are engaged and planning a wedding in early spring of 1996. Angela is the daughter of Suzanne G. Payne of Roanoke & Wm. E. Payne of Vinton. She is employed at First Union Bank. Ronald is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ronald E. Scott Sr. of Fincaslte. He is vice-president of Scott-Gallaher Inc.|

Sarver-Witt

Melissa Dawn Sarver and Glen Francis Witt are proudly announcing their engagement. Melissa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Sarver, Sr. of Moneta and is employed at Piedmont Label Company, Inc. of Bedford. Glen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie F. Witt of Bedford and is self-employed. Both are 1986 graduates of Staunton River High School.

Wengert-Moore

Laura Jan Wengert and J. Alan Moore are engaged and planning to be married July 13, 1996 in Richmond, Va. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wengert of Madison, Wis. She graduated from Blacksburg High School and from the University of Richmond in May 1995. She is employed by This End Up Furniture Company. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Moore of Blacksburg, Va. He graduated from Blacksburg High School and The University of Richmond, and is presently attending medical school at the Medical College of Virginia.

Whorley-Eakin

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald G. Robertson of Roanoke are honored to announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Diane Renee Whorley, to Samuel Garnett Eakin. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Ralph Eakin of New Castle. A date has been set for Saturday, December 30, 1995.
