MOVIE ON ACTRESS' ILLNESS SPURS CALLERS

Sunday's television movie about Walt Disney star Annette Funicello's battle with multiple sclerosis prompted 25 people to call the Roanoke Area MS Support Group this week.

The group will have a dinner meeting Thursday at 7 at the Crossroads Mall Western Sizzlin.

MS is a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system and is characterized by speech defects and loss of muscular coordination.
