Clarifications

Justice House resident Connie Ritter said her roommate would not bring her ill 6-week-old infant back to live in the building if the electricity is not turned on, contrary to a report in Wednesday's newspaper. The building, meanwhile, has been condemned.

William Irvin, a candidate for the Roanoke County School Board in the Cave Spring District, said he strongly supports the recommendation by consultants and a steering committee for a new 1,900-student high school. In an interview before the recommendation was made, Irvin said he did not have a strong opinion either way on one large new school or two smaller schools. His comments on the issue in a profile in today's Neighbors edition, which was written before the recommendation, were taken from the earlier interview.
