CHURCH WILL BEGIN SUNDAY NIGHT PROGRAM

Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, a congregation established a year ago by former members of Maple Street Baptist and their pastor, the Rev. Marvin Fields, has occupied a renovated church at 1814 Carroll Ave. N.W. and will begin a Sunday night education program for all ages Nov. 5 at 6.

The congregation is part of the National Baptist Convention and has about 100 attending worship regularly, Fields said. Sunday morning programs begin at 9:30 and 11 a.m., and there is a midweek prayer service.

The building the congregation is using was outgrown by a Jehovah's Witness group. It is on a half-acre tract with space for parking. Fields said the renovation cost was about $20,000.
