The grand opening of the Military Memorabilia Museum in Lexington will be held Saturday.
A parade, opening ceremony and book signing will begin at 1 p.m.
International artifacts from the Napoleonic period through the Gulf War will be displayed.
The museum is located at 1221/2 South Main St. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Admission is $4, $2 for students and senior citizens.

Skating dates
Public ice skating will be held at the Roanoke Civic Center on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. on the following dates: Nov. 5, Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, Dec. 10, Jan. 14, Jan. 28, March 10 and March 24.
Admission is $4 and skates are available for rental for $2. The skating entrance is at the back of the coliseum.
The schedule is subject to change, and cancellations will be announced at Roanoke Express hockey games and through announcements to the media.
