Writers and Hollins alumnae Lee Smith, Elizabeth Seydel Morgan and Susie Mee will read from their work Nov. 9 at 8:15 p.m., in the Green Drawing Room, Main Building, on the Hollins College campus.

This event celebrates the publication of ``Downhome: An Anthology of Southern Women Writers,'' released this month by Harcourt Brace.

The reading is free and open to the public. A reception/book signing will follow.

``Downhome'' is edited by Mee and dedicated to Hollins College and Richard Dillard, chair of the Creative Writing program.
