SONGWRITERS TO HOLD SEMINAR

The Southwest Virginia Songwriters Association will sponsor a songwriting seminar and critique session Nov. 19, 1-5:30 p.m., at Center in the Square, Roanoke.

The workshop will be given by songwriter Steve Gillette, Paul Reisler, founder of Trapezoid and poet/songwriter Charles John Quarto. Songwriting and the creative process, mechanics and craft of songwriting will be covered.

Cassette tapes with one song and lyric sheets are to be turned in for critiques at 4 p.m., the beginning of the workshop.

The cost is $25. Registration is limited.
