Carrie Allison Herzog and William Christopher Frye were married October 28, 1995 at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford. The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. O. Wendell Manuel of Starkville, Ms. A reception followed at the Marriott in Blacksburg, hosted by the parents of the bride, Janice and Frank Herzog of Radford. Carrie is the granddaughter of Eleanor Townsend of Morristown, N.J. and the late Dr. Leslie Townsend of Morris, Ct., and the late Teresa and Joseph Herzog of Palmerton, Pa. Chris is the son of Susan and Randy Frye of Radford, and the grandson of Mildred and Marvin Smith of Radford, Charles Faw of Blacksburg and the late Clariece Faw of Fairlawn.
Carrie, escorted by her father an d given in marriage by her parents, wore a silk shantung formal sheath gown with bolero jacket and detachable train trimmed with alencon lace, pearls and sequins, and carried a bouquet of red roses and white star of Bethlehem. Amy Herzog of Radford was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a short dress of black and white brocade and carried a bouquet of red gladiolas. Kristen Cogswell of Roanoke, Va., Kristen Emanual of Baltimore, Md., Susan English of Arlington, Va., and Mary Helen Rogers of Clearwater, Fl., friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids and wore identical dresses as the maid of honor and carried bouquets of white gladiolas. Lauren Cogswell and Shannon Upp, both of Radford, friends of the bride, assisted with the guest book and programs. Music was provided by Pat Brown, organist, and Al Wojtera, marimbist. Flowers were provided by Radford City Florist, and Kim Faulkner assisted in wedding direction.
Todd Huber of Radford, friend of the groom, served as best man. Bryan Frye of Radford, brother of the groom, Eddie Gibson of Lynchburg, Va., cousin of the groom, Bryan Barker of Radford, and Scott Patton of Nashville, Tn., friends of the groom, served as ushers.
The bride was honored with a kitchen shower given by Nancy Cogswell and assisted by Kristen Cogswell and Delores Upp. The bridesmaids gave Carrie a lingerie shower hosted by Kristen Cogswell in Roanoke. Janice Herzog's Stitching group honored the bride with a miscellaneous shower, and Circle 2 of the Radford Presbyterian Church honored the couple with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Theresa Coulthard and hosted by Mrs. Coulthard, Judy Quesenberry and Wilma Allen. The groom's parents entertained at the rehearsal dinner held at the Wilderness Inn, Newbern.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of Radford High School. Carrie is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Interior Design and is an interior designer with OmniArchitecture in Charlotte, N.C. Chris, also a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Building Construction, is a project engineer with David M. Sidbury Construction in Charlotte, N.C. After a honeymoon cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple will be at home on Lake Norman in Davidson, N.C.
Herndon-Johnson
Jane Paige Johnson and John David Herndon were united in marriage Saturday, October 14, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Radford, Virginia, with the Rev. Warr en H. Wattenbarger officiating. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Norwood Room.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Pat Johnson of Radford. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edmunds of Floyd and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Herndon of Pulaski.
Miss Stacey Saunders served as maid of honor. Mrs. Jamie Little was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Meg Young and Mrs. Cheryl Chrisley. Flower girl was Allyson Chrisley, and Scott Burke was ring bearer.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Driver Legg of Roanoke and the grandson of Mrs. Bessie Driver Legg and the late Percy W. Legg of Washington, D. C., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Koloska of Wiesbaden, Germany.

The bride's gown of white silk shantung featured off the shoulder braided sleeves accenting the sweetheart bodice which was lavished with elaborate detailed appliques, seed pearls and sequins. The basque waistline was covered with petal shaped appliques accented with a bow at the back waistline. An assembly of re-embroidered appliques swept along the cathedral train. The bride's headpiece was a silk braided hairband with seed pearls and a veil of illusion. The bride carried a cascade of sterling silver roses, bridal white roses, osiana roses, bouvardia and Itlalian ruscus accented with french wired ribbon.
The bride is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Radford University and is employed as a social worker with Crystal City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria, Va. The groom is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Radford University and is employed by Starbuck Coffee Company in Burke, Va. The newlyweds live in Fairfax, Va.
The wedding date has special significance as the bride's maternal grandparents were married on this date 57 years ago.

The marriage of Miss Pamela Anne Cassano, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Cassano, Sr., of Rye, N. Y., to Darren Kent Mazey, son of Paul and Lou Mazey of Roanoke, took place August 19, 1995, at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, N. Y.
