GOLDEN EAGLES GET PAST HAWKS

Jeff English rushed for 218 yards as Staunton River kept Buckingham County winless with a 22-14 Seminole District win on Monday night in Buckingham.

English scored on runs of 60- and 45-yards. He also threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Willie Johnson for the Golden Eagles (4-4, 4-4).

Fieldale-Collinsville 50, Gretna 0 Delvin Joyce scored three touchdowns, two on pass plays and one on the ground, to pace Fieldale-Collinsville to a 50-0 win over Gretna in a Piedmont District game in Gretna.

Joyce caught two 15-yard scoring strikes from Philip Hairston to open the scoring and scored on a 23-yard run in the second quarter for the Cavaliers (8-1 overall, 7-1 district).

Gretna falls to 0-8, 0-7.
