COOKE WINS TITLE IN LA.

UVa senior Simon Cooke shot a two-under-par 214 to help the golf team to a tie for sixth in an 11-team field at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge on Tuesday.

Cooke claimed a two-stroke victory over Auburn's Jay Hobby. He tied a tournament record with a 6-under-par 66 in the first round and his 214 was one stroke off the tournament record of the lowest 54-hole score.
