AL MORRIS of Roanoke is a newly certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. He is the operator of American Home Inspectors, a subsidiary of MAJASA Holdings Inc.

PATSY J. BEAN has been named Brandon Oaks Retirement Community's Employee of the Year. Bean, who has worked at Brandon Oaks since 1993, is main dining room manager, overseeing dining room operations and special event functions.

DONNA DILLEY, Roanoke director of the National League of Junior Cotillions, was a guest speaker during the group's annual convention in Nashville. Dilley directs several Roanoke-area Junior Cotillion programs that worked with 96 students last year.

J. BLAKE FRAZIER, formerly of Roanoke, has passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination for North Carolina. Frazier, a Northside High School graduate, works at Pepsi Cola national headquarters in Winston-Salem.

THE BLUE RIDGE CHAPTER OF THE PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATORS ASSOCIATION recently received the Bill Helms Chapter of the Year Award at the association's national convention in Atlanta. The award was given for the chapter's outstanding leadership, activities, guest speakers, membership and attitude.

ROBERT M. BOSTIAN has retired from Norfolk Southern Corp. (formerly Norfolk and Western Railway) after 42 years. He most recently was a mobile agent between Roanoke and Buena Vista.

BETH THOMAS, formerly of Roanoke, has been promoted to operations manager at the Charlotte branch of Keane Inc.'s information services division. Thomas previously was consulting manager for the software services company.

SANDRA COMPTON TEAGUE, daughter of Minnie Compton and the late Raymond Compton of Roanoke, recently was named Air Traffic Control Specialist of the Year by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Air Traffic Controllers Association for outstanding achievements and contributions to the air traffic system. Teague is employed by the FAA at the Reno Nevada Automated Flight Service Station.

ROBERT W. BEIGHTOL, manager of nuclear pharmacy services at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists at the society's annual meeting held in Philadelphia recently.

THE ALPHA WOLF GROUP, a division of Sipos Marketing Services Inc. in Salem, is the recipient of a national marketing communications award for a project it performed for Lewis-Gale Clinic Inc. Sipos Marketing won the award in Healthcare Marketing Report's 12th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition. The award was given for a print advertising campaign for radial keratotomy created by the clinic's opthalmology department.

CHARLES "CHICK" RAKES of Roanoke was selected to attend the Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company's 1995 Marketing Conference in Banff, Alberta, Canada , based on his sales and service to policyholders during 1994-1995.
