COMPLAINTS AGAINST TROOPER ARE BEING INVESTIGATED

State Police are investigating three complaints alleging that a state trooper injured a student after fans flooded the field when Virginia Tech beat Miami on Sept. 23, an investigator has confirmed.

Lt. L.C. "Buzzy" Foster of Richmond declined to reveal further information, citing the confidentiality of personnel complaints.

He also said "we're assuming" the officer in question is a state police officer.

After fans flooded the field, police used Mace to control the crowd. A couple of fans climbed the goal posts.
