NAVY PROGRAMS PLAN REUNION AT E&H

Emory & Henry College will hold a reunion this weekend for members of the Navy V-12 and V-5 programs that were held on the college's campus during World War II.

The programs were launched to fill the need for Navy aviators and navigators, and Emory & Henry, in Washington County, was one of four schools in Virginia to have a program.

Among the program's graduates were Harold A. Poling, president and CEO of Ford Motor Co.; John F. Ryan, vice president of ITT; and Eugene Meyung, retired president of GEICO Insurance Co.
