CALLERS SEE JESUS IN HUBBLE PHOTO

The photograph had just disappeared from the television screen when the first of a flood of calls came in to Cable News Network. Viewers were sure they had seen the face of Jesus in the photo taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.

The picture of stars being born in a 6 trillion-mile-long gas cloud was released Thursday by NASA.

With the picture turned on its side, what appears to be a shadowy face can be seen.

``There have been dozens, if not hundreds'' of calls, said Steve Gallien of CNN.

To see the shadowy face even faintly, a viewer would have to have an exceptionally clear copy of the photograph and hold it in a particular orientation.
