New York independent filmmaker Sara Driver will screen and discuss her work Monday and Tuesday in Roanoke.
``When Pigs Fly'' will be shown Monday at 8 p.m. in the Hopkins Planetarium of the Science Museum of Western Virginia.
``Sleepwalk'' will be shown Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Hollins College's Babcock Auditorium. A reception will follow.

Poetry reading
Poet Cathryn Hankla will read from her work Monday, at 7:30 p.m., in Radford University's Flossie Martin Gallery.
Hankla is the author of a collection of stories, a novel and two collections of poems. She is the English department chair at Hollins College.

Museum exhibit
The Virginia Museum of Transportation's exhibit, ``Choppers, Rice Burners and Hogs!'' will be on display today and Sunday during regular museum hours.
The exhibit will explore the history, development and excitement of motorcycles, including the different classes of motorcycles and the variety of lifestyles of their owners.
The museum is located at 303 Norfolk Ave., Roanoke, and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens over 60 and $3 for children 3 to 18.

Africa lecture
``What of the African Tradition Endures?,'' a lecture by Robert Farris Thompson, will be given today from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Hopkins Planetarium of the Science Museum of Western Virginia.
Thompson is a Yale University professor of African and Afro-American History.
The presentation is free and open to the public. A reception will take place after the lecture.
