GENERALS REGISTER 5TH VICTORY, 13-9

Brooks Fischer threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Washington and Lee came from behind to beat Guilford 13-9 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference football game.

Fischer, who was 17-of-35 with one interception, had scoring passes of 16 and 6 yards, the last with 9:58 remaining to give the Generals (5-2-1 overall, 3-2 ODAC) the victory.

The Quakers (3-5, 1-4) built a 9-6 lead at the half. They were shut out in the second half. The Quakers had 189 yards on the ground and 208 yards passing. The Generals managed 95 yards on the ground.

David Heggie led the Quakers with 167 yards on 27 carries. Dan Strelkauskas was 13-of-26 for 208 yards, two interceptions and one touchdown, a 15-yarder to Dee Rankin.
