Glenvar (17-7) advances to a semifinal Thursday night, when it will meet the winner of tonight's Fort Chiswell-Floyd County game at Lord Botetourt High School for a Group A tournament berth.
Salyer finished with a game-high 37 points and scored all but two of Castlewood's points in the three overtimes.
The Blue Devils tied the score at 46 when Elizabeth Sabo hit two free throws with five seconds left in regulation time. Salyer hit a 3-pointer at the end of the first overtime to tie the score and send the game to the second extra period.
In the final overtime, Hale scored five points and Amy Layman, who finished with 20 points, hit two free throws and scored a basket as Glenvar took command.
Hale scored 31 of her 36 in the second half and three overtimes and had 20 of Glenvar's 45 rebounds.
