CAVE SPRING-AREA CHURCHES will sponsor Wednesday night Thanksgiving worship at 7:30 at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, 2138 McVitty Road S.W. The Rev. David Delaney, associate pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, will speak.
A food offering will be taken for Roanoke Area Ministries, and money donations will be applied to the institutional chaplaincy ministry.
TWO RALEIGH COURT SERVICES are scheduled at Christ Lutheran Church, 2011 Brandon Ave. S.W. On Wednesday night at 7:30, the Rev. William Ramey of Raleigh Court United Methodist will preach and a choir of all ages will sing.
The Thursday morning worship, starting at 9:30, will include a message by the Rev. F. Tupper Garden of Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church. The Christ Lutheran choir will sing.

The offering will go to community emergency medical services.
A CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SERVICE will be held Thanksgiving Day at 11 a.m. at First Church, 155 Overland Road S.W. The service follows the traditional format developed by the denomination's founder, Mary Baker Eddy.
SOUTHEAST ROANOKE CHURCHES will unite for worship Sunday at 4 p.m. at Ninth Street Church of the Brethren, 1103 Ninth St. S.E. The Rev. Elliott Hipps of Belmont Presbyterian Church will preach.
The offering will benefit the Presbyterian Community Center, which serves the neighborhood needy. A social period will be held after the service.
A SALEM COMMUNITY SERVICE will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 314 Turner Road. David Wolfe, the former Lewis-Gale Hospital chaplain who is going to Indiana, will speak.
THANKSGIVING DINNER, free to any who would otherwise be alone on the holiday, will be offered Thursday at noon in the fellowship hall of Salem Presbyterian Church, Main and Market streets in downtown Salem. For transportation to the meal, call 389-3881 between 9 a.m. and noon by Wednesday.
