Arrington-Sloss

Mr. and Mrs. Gregory D. Arrington of Salem, Va. announce the engagement of their daughter, Sheri Leigh Arrington to Jeffrey Duane Sloss of New Castle, Va. He is the son of Lewis and Dixie Sloss of New Castle, Va.

Sheri is a graduate of Salem High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. Jeff is a graduate of Craig County High School. Both are employed by Custom Wood Products.

The wedding is planned for May 4, 1996.

Bond-Buzzo

Mr. and Mrs. Earnest O. Bond, Jr. of Roanoke, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracey Diane to Johnny V. Buzzo, III. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny V. Buzzo, Jr. of Bluefield, West Virginia.

Ms. Bond is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Radford University. She is currently employed by the City of Roanoke.

Mr. Buzzo graduated from Bluefield High School and Bluefield State College. He is also employed by the City of Roanoke.

An autumn wedding is scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 1996, in Roanoke, Va

Carroll-Bucko

Mr. Michael R. Carroll and Buck and Barbara Hicks of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Michelle Carroll to Scott S. Bucko, son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Bucko and Jerry and Kela Deibel of New Jersey. A May 12th wedding is planned.

Lampros-Smith

Dr. and Mrs. Leo Nicholas Lampros of Roanoke, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Penny Lynn Lampros, to Barry Frederick Smith, son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Robert Smith of Bloomington, Indiana.

Dr. Penny Lynn Lampros is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. She received her Orthodontic Certificate and Masters of Science in Dentistry from Indiana University. She is associated with Dr. Leo N. Lampros, Ltd. in the practice of orthodontics.

Mr. Barry Frederick Smith is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business. He is the Director of Development for the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana.

McConnell-Wohlford

Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. McConnell, Jr. of Fairlawn, Va. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Terri Lynn, to Lt. Michael Shannon Wohlford. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Guy Wohlford of Radford, Va. Miss McConnell attended Pulaski County High School and is a graduate of Radford University with a bachelor's degree in Business Admin istration. She is employed as a Customer Service Representative with Pacific Paper Company, San Diego, Ca.

Lt. Wohlford attended Radford High School and graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. He is currently serving as a Naval Flight Officer with Fighter Squadron 11, Naval Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Ca.

The wedding is planned for December 23, 1995 in Fairlawn, Va.

Nolan-Nesbit

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bernard Nolan of Roanoke, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Lynn, to Steven Lawrence Nesbit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nesbit of Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

Sandra graduated from North Cross School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hood College. She is associated with Wear It Well in Bethesda, Maryland.

Steven graduated from Pennsylvania State University and earned his Masters Degree in Management Information Systems from American University in Washington, D.C. He is President of Portal Technologies in Herndon, Virginia.

Stowell-Downs

Kristine Naco Stowell and James Preston Downs are engaged to be married on February 17, 1996 in Midland, Michigan. Parents of the couple are Richard and Linda Stowell of Hope, Michigan and Rodney and Shirley Downs of Shawsville, Virginia. The bride-elect is a recent Chemical Engineering graduate from Michigan State University. The prospective groom is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and is a Senior Project Engineer at American Axle and Manufacturing in Rochester

Wallen-Gardner

Lisa Kay Wallen and Randall McCoy Gardner are engaged and planning to be married on December 2, 1995 in Salem.

The future bride's mother and stepfather are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walkley of Salem, and her father and stepmother are Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Wallen of Yucca Valley, California.

She is a graduate of Pacifica High School, Garden Grove, California and Sweet Briar College, and is employed by Allstate Insurance Co. as a Sr. Allstar Specialist. The future b ridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gardner of Hillsville. He is a graduate of Carroll County High School and Virginia Tech, and is employed by Stockner Excavating as a Project Manager
