HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS ABOUND

Christiansburg Senior Center will have its Christmas luncheon Dec. 14, at noon, at Christiansburg National Guard Armory. All seniors in Montgomery County are welcome. Christmas carols and fellowship will make the holiday celebration exciting. Bring a covered dish and a 50-cent donation.

Seniors can enjoy turkey, trimmings and favorite holiday dishes at Radford's American Association of Retired Persons Potluck Christmas Dinner on Dec. 20, at 5 p.m., at the Radford Senior Center, 27 First St. Joyful Sounds of Pulaski will provide entertainment. People who are 50 and older are invited enjoy the fellowship and learn more about the organization.

Pulaski Senior Center will celebrate the holidays with a Christmas potluck luncheon Dec. 21, at 11:30 a.m. Seniors will share favorite holiday dishes.

The Giles County AARP No. 445 will have a Christmas potluck luncheon on Friday at 12:30 p.m. On Dec. 15, at noon, AARP No. 502 will also have a Christmas potluck luncheon. Both luncheons are at the Giles County Senior Center.

The Blacksburg Seniors Association's holiday potluck luncheon is Dec. 7, from noon to 2 p.m. A fun afternoon of music, great friends and good food is planned.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will have a Christmas potluck luncheon on Dec. 12, at noon, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Main St., Christiansburg. The Rev. Bobby Fuller of McCoy will share thoughts on the Christmas season.

ALZHEIMER'S EDUCATION , Thursday, 2 p.m., Heritage Hall Nursing Center. Monthly meetings: this month's topic is "Delirium vs. Depression." Christina Reed, 951-7000.

Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., coffee hour; 11 a.m., gospel sing-a-long.

Wednesday, 10-11 a.m., blood pressure screening.

Dec. 8, van departs at 9 a.m. for Mercer Mall, Princeton, W.Va. Transportation fee is $4, seniors; $8 ages 21-54.

Today, 10 a.m., volunteers work at the Christmas store; 1:30 p.m., Christiansburg group will host English Meadow birthday party.

Monday, noon, Shawsville Christmas luncheon, White Chapel church. All volunteers welcome.

Tuesday, 10 a.m., Warm Hearth Group and the McCoy group will work at the Christmas Store.

Wednesday, 9 a.m., both Christiansburg groups go to breakfast and shop.

Dec. 7, 1:30 a.m., Blacksburg group will work on SHARE and Community Action mailings at the Community Action Building.

Ongoing activities are canasta and bridge. Classes available in computers, ceramics, art, calligraphy and bridge. Exercise programs include: Tuesdays, 10-11 a.m., indoor tennis; Mondays 10-11:30 a.m., walking group; Monday 12:30-1:30, Tuesday and Thursday, 9-10 a.m., Golden Aerobics.

Today, trip to Valley View and Tanglewood malls, Roanoke. Van leaves 9 a.m. and returns 5 p.m. $2, transportation fee. Lunch is on your own at K&W Cafeteria in Tanglewood.

Friday, van leaves at 10 a.m. for trip to Hotel Roanoke. Transportation fee is $15.

Tuesday, 1-4 p.m., holiday centerpiece class. $10 includes supplies.

Dec. 7, noon-2 p.m. Holiday luncheon dinner. Bring a covered dish.
