ROANOKER BEATEN AT GUNPOINT

A Northeast Roanoke man told police Monday he was held at gunpoint and beaten after a man and a woman broke into his apartment.

Timmy Allen Redman, 20, told police the pair forced their way through a sliding glass door and into his apartment on Tinker Drive about 2 p.m. He said the man held a large chrome handgun to his head, forced him to the floor, then kicked him several times in the face and chest.

The couple then fled in a black Jeep with a North Carolina license plate, Redman was quoted as saying.

Redman told a reporter Tuesday that he knew the man and woman but didn't know their motive.
