Christmas parade. Henry Dillon, an Irish-born brick mason, built a
home (right) for Dr. Tazewell Headen in 1849. Headen used the home
for his medical practice. Dr. John Stuart lived there for a time and
was visited by his brother, Confederate general J.E.B. Stuart. 2.
Another landmark in downtown Floyd is the Horatio Howard Building
(above), now Farmer's Supply. Constructed in 1897, the building
became the current hardware store in 1937. This photo dates from
