NEW RIVER VALLEY HAS CHRISTMAS ON PARADE

Wear your warmest wraps, find a street corner with a good view and hoist a short kid to the top of tall shoulders. Christmas parades begin tonight and continue through Dec. 14. Parades include floats, antique cars, and marching bands. You might even catch a glimpse of Santa.

Tonight

6 p.m., Pearisburg: "Christmas Under the Stars." Christy Mutter, 921-1254.

7 p.m., Dublin: "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Deanna Hopkins, 674-4731.

Saturday

1 p.m., Blacksburg: "Memories of Christmas." Randy Hall, Blacksburg Parks and Recreation, 961-1135. Weather date is Monday at 7 p.m.

6 p.m., Christiansburg: Parade is sponsored by the Christiansburg Jaycees. Samuel Snuffer, 382-8485.
