The Roanoke/Lynchburg area's two Fox television stations - WJPR in Lynchburg and WFXR in Roanoke - were off the air 85 minutes Thursday when an underground power line broke near the stations' building about 1:45 p.m. Both stations are at 2618 Colonial Ave. S.W.
Stan Marinoff, vice president and general manager, got Channel 21/27 back on the air with a generator at 3:10. An Appalachian Power Co. crew was restoring power late in the afternoon. Marinoff said there was no construction going on nearby and he didn't know how the break occurred.
