Radford Christmas parade
RADFORD - All organizations wishing to enter Radford's annual Christmas Parade on Monday must apply through the Radford Kiwanis Club by today.
The theme is "Christmas - The Children's Delight." Awards will be given to the best entries in several categories.
The parade begins at 7 p.m. at the University Boulevard Bridge and ends in Central Square at Central Lumber Company.

Turkey Trot 5K Road Race
BLACKSBURG - Area 9 Special Olympics will hold its Turkey Trot 5K Road Race on Saturday.
Runners should meet at 9:30 a.m., and the race will start at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium-side parking lot of Blacksburg High School.

Registration is $15, and packets can be picked up at the Blacksburg Aquatics Center today from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 9:25 a.m.
