ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Home sales in the Roanoke Valley rose by 2.5 percent in November from a year ago. The Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors said 245 homes were placed under sales contract, compared with 239 in November 1994. The November count was down 24.6 from 325 home sales in October.

On average, buyers paid 3.4 percent less than the listed price last month. Properties spent an average of 101 days on the market. The total housing inventory at the end of the month was 1,871 homes for sale.
