          one-room school in Dickenson County, celebrated her 100th birthday 
          Nov. 28 at Brandon Oaks Health Center. After marrying, she became a 
          homemaker and raised  five children - four boys (two are deceased) 
          and a girl.  A former Southeast Roanoke resident, Schlamb is the 
          widow of Alva Smith and Frank Schlamb and a member of Belmont 
          Baptist Church. She's grandmother to 11; great-grandmother to 17; 
          great-great-grandmother to six; and step-great-grandmother to 2.
