ANGELELLI, Pietro, 70, of Roanoke, died Monday, December 4, 1995. Formerly of McDow County, W.Va., he was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II and a long time employee of Berglund Chevrolet. Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Moxley Angelelli; daughter and son-in-law, Susan A. and Frank Alvarez, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; sisters, Mary A. Vickers, Draper, Linda Angelelli, Northfork, W.Va.; brother, Fernando Angelelli, Northfork, W.Va; nieces and nephews, Tony Angelelli, Concord, Tenn., Fernando Angelelli Jr., Mount Laurel, N.J., Mark Angelelli, Charlotte, N.C., Fran Rooker, Radford, Valerie Smith, Glen Allen, Va., Shirley Conley, Midlothian, Nancy Frost, New Castle, Ind., Sally Wilcher, Indianapolis, Ind. A prayer service will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel. Funeral mass will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at St. Andrews Catholic Church by the Reverend Steven R. Rule. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel.

BRADSHAW, Lora Reeves, 63, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995 after a short illness with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Bradshaw. She wa s a graduate of the University of North Carolina and was an elementary school teacher for 28 years. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Lea Ann and Richard G. Lang, of Roanoke, Michelle and Stanley D. Clark, of Virginia Beach, Carol and James D. Dickson, of Fairfax, Donna and Joseph Schmidt, San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and Martha Reeves, of Conover, NC; also surviving, a loving and caring friend, Parky Parkinson. CHRISTIAN, Ruth Bass, 77, of Radford, died Wednesday, December 6, 1995 at her home. She was a long time member of Chapter AB of the PEO Sisterhood. She is survived by her husband, N.M. (Chris) Christian, Radford; four daughters, Gayle Christian, New York, Diane Christian, Radford, Vicki C. CREASY, Adelaide Snead, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 1995. She was the widow of John Will Creasy and is survived by her brothers, Charles Snead, Alexandria, Edward P. CRUTCHFIELD, Charles Leonard, (``Cicero""), of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 1995. He was the son of the late George W. Crutchfield and Helen Haynes Crutchfield. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of faithful service. He later retired from General Motors in Columbus, Ohio. Among the survivors are his wife, Raymunda Crutchfield, Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Eon (Karen) Williams, Weiterstadt, Germany, Gary (Margorie) Crutchfield, Saudi, Arabia; one daughter, Kristina Crutchfield, Columbus, Ohio; mother of his children, Mary Crutchfield, Columbus, Ohio; six sisters, Georgia Preston, Washington, D.C., Ernestine (Carroll) Holland, Christine C. FERRELL, Jack Goodman, 64, of Blue Ridge, died Sunday, December 3, 1995. A former resident of California, his parents were Viola Mae Dozier of California and Jack Ferrell of Odessa, Texas. GORDON, Alice Faye, (CB handle ""Cheyenne"") 46, of Bedford County, was killed Tuesday, December 5, 1995, in a traffic accident in Pike County, Ky. HAMPTON, Hurley Houston, 101, of Galax, left us Tuesday, December 4, 1995. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters of the family of Charles and Nancy Jane Hampton and other ancestors, the earliest being one of Grayson County's pioneer settlers in 1785. He was widely known and admired for his skills as a farmer, livestock fancier, a remarkable banjo player and singer, and a witty raconteur and oral family and community historian. He is survived by one sister, Lena Young of Hampton; two children, Robert Nelson Hampton and wife, Ruth of McLean and Wilma Frances Hampton, Galax; six grandchildren in Virginia, North Carolina, and California, Nancy, Kathy, Bob, Mary, Tom and Janet; 12 great-grandchildren, Jesse, Cory, Eva, Keith, Devon, Emma, Bonnie, Matthew, Daniel, Rebecca, Virginia and Amelia. HUFF, Mark Cannon, 85, of Dugspur, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 1995, at Laurel Meadows Home in Laurel Fork. He was born in Carroll County on December 19, 1909. Mr. Huff was preceded in death by a son, Hoover Huff; a grandson, Tim Huff, and a granddaughter, Teresa Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Mildred O. Huff; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Arvids Emkalns of Elk Grove Village, Ill., Shelby and Curtis Duke of Blue Ridge and Ruthie and Randy Gardner of Horse Shoe, N.C.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Mark and Joyce Huff, Darrell and Kathryn Huff and Donnie Huff of Dugspur; two sisters, Elva Dalton of Wytheville and Hassie Moore of Dugspur; two brothers, Ralph Huff of Riner and Guy Huff of Dugspur; a daughter-in-law, Mary Huff of Danville; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. HUGHES, Thomas Jefferson Jr., 84, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995, at his home. He was a graduate of Roanoke College, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Following military service, he did theatrical work in New York and at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon. Returning to Roanoke, he served WSLS Radio as announcer and newscaster. With the start of WSLS Television, he also served in those capacities. He hosted various programs, including ``Tom's Foolery"" and ``Uncle Looney"". He served many years and retired as Program Director at WSLS TV. Mr. Hughes was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Lee Hughes; his children, Thomas Jefferson Hughes III, Susan Starritt Hughes, Paul W. Dodson, Marsha Weaver , James and Jean Gladden; a very dear friend, Sue Marshall; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. MOTLEY, Larry Clark, 50, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 1995. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.

OSTERNDORF, Logan C., 78, retired military officer and educator, died Saturday, December 2, 1995 of cancer at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Mr. Osterndorf was born in Chicago, IL. and grew up in Milwaukee, WI. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army and served as an infantry officer during WWII in both the Pacific and European Theaters of Operations. Upon returning from the war, he attended Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, and later earned his Masters from the University of Wisconsin where he specialized in international relations and the Soviet Union. He then continued his military and educational interests by serving as Assistant Commandant of the Corps of Cadets, and later as Assistant Professor where he taught government and economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. After moving to the Washington DC, Mr. Osterndorf was employed by the National Education Association as Director of Program and Operations, Division of Educational Travel, and later worked for the US Office of Education as UNESCO/UNDP program specialist, Institute of International Studies, and as an International Education Specialist. While in these positions, he created a number of learning institutes in Europe for US and foreign teachers and published several go vernment educational studies. Following his retirement from the government, Mr. Osterndorf enjoyed his summer role as cattle farmer in Radford, VA, and took pride in his work as editor of the Council on America's Military Past's PERIODICAL, and FIRST CALL newsletter. He also continued his interest in international affairs and traveled throughout the world. Mr. Osterndorf was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, American Legion, Retired Officer's Association, China Round Table, Alpha Kappa Psi, and member and former president of Council on America's Military Past. Survivors include his wife, Mary V. Osterndorf; a daughter, Dana S. Osterndorf, Silver Spring, MD.; a son, Dale M. Osterndorf, Christiansburg, VA.; a brother, Verne A. Osterndorf, Milwaukee, WI.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

RODGERS, Hubert North, 100, died peacefully in his sleep, Monday, December 4, 1995. He was born February 26, 1895 in Campbell County. He was formerly a resident of Lynchburg and a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church, but had been residing with his daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Bill Kirby of Salem for the past 2 years due to his advanced age. He is survived by three other daughters, Mary R. White, Upper Marlboro, MD., Dana R. Tyree, Lynchburg, Bettie R. Doss, Colonial Heights; grandchildren include, Barbara K. Jones, Roanoke, Diane K. SANDERSON, John Henry, 82, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995 at Stonewal l Jackson Hospital. Born in Buena Vista on May 29, 1913, he was the son of the late Major John and Lola Ware Sanderson. He was employed by Bernson Silk Mill for 33 years. He then was a security guard for Reeves Brothers for 10 years before retiring. Mr. Sanderson attended the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by two children, Cecil L. Sanderson and Shirley M. Sanderson. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Smith Sanderson, Buena Vista; one son, John H. Sanderson, Jr., Buena Vista; four daughters, Betty S. Camper, Doris M. Sanderson, and Faye S. Slough, all of Buena Vista, and Wanda S. Agnor, Lexington; a sister, Nellie S. Sorrells, Buena Vista; Five Grandchildren; and Four Great-Grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 8 at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bain officiating. STAMBACK, Wilmer Lewis, 71 of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 6, 1995. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Angie Stamback; sister, Myrtle Mauk; and several nieces and nephews. WADDY, Terry Lee, 37, died December 4, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Ellen Waddy and the late William Albert Waddy , Sr. Her childhood was spent in Clifton Forge. She joined the Main Street Baptist Church at an early age. Terry was a graduate of Clifton Forge High School and Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. For a few years she worked as Secretary in the City Manager's Office in Clifton Forge and also as Secretary at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home in her home city. In Ohio, she worked as a Credit Transaction Clerk. To cherish her memory and mourn their loss, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary Ellen Waddy of Clifton Forge; one sister, Rosa Waddy Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Albert (Willie) Waddy, Jr., Chesterfield Co., Va., Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. WRIGHT, Myrtle Ogden, 96, of Arlington, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995 at the home of her daughter. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Merie Dell and Ross Hill, Christiansburg; one son, William B. Wright Jr., Arlington; granddaughters, Rebecca H. and Jim Rogers, Ivan, Linda Hill, Florida; two gr andsons, David and Carol Hill, Brazil, Stephen Hill, Blacksburg; great-grandsons, Mark and Adam Hill, Brazil; two brothers, John Ogden, Clover, Russell Ogden, Evington; two sisters, Carrie Pantol, Virginia Beach, Newassa Shaw, Lynchburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, Christiansburg, conducted by Dr. Maurice T. McCarthy Jr. Interment will take place 2 p.m. Saturday in the National Memorial Park, Arlington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home
