Hendrick anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. Hendrick celebrated their 69th anniversary on November 27, 1995. They were married November 27, 1926 in Waverly Place Baptist Church by the Rev. C.C. Thomas. She's the former Florence E. Gregory. They have five children; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is retired from American Viscose and Eli Lilly. She is retired from American Viscose and as a homemaker.

Underwood anniversary
Jesse and Evelyn Underwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 28, 1995. The celebration was held at Sunnybrook Inn located in Roanoke, Virginia, and hosted by their four children, Stephen, Phillip, Sharon and Bradley. They were married October 31, 1945, in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Mrs. Underwood is the former Evelyn Marie Jones and is retired from the Kroger Company. Mr. Underwood is retired from the City of Roanoke.
