CELEBRATIONS - BIRTHS

Amos birth Jeffery Scott and Kimberly Bren Amos are proud to announce the birth of our beautiful son, Austin Steven Amos. He was born September 24, 1995 at 8:04 am at Community Hospital of Roanoke, Va. He weighed 9 lbs 4 1/4 ozs and was 21 3/4'' long.

We would like to thank our son, Logan Scott Amos, age 6, for being such a wonderful big brother and terrific son. The grandparents are Joyce Amos and the late Wilford Amos, Connie Bond and Don & Wanda Corbin.

We would like to offer a sp ecial thanks to Dr. Robert Wiseman & his nurse, Ruby, as well as all of the Community Hospital Staff. We especially thank the Lord for the blessings he has sent us.

Doll birth

Steve, Melissa and Austin Doll are happy to announce the arrival of Adam Spencer Doll, the newest member of their family. Adam was born November 21, 1995, at 1:45 p.m. at Lewis Gale. He weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Sharon K. Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Campbell. Paternal grandparents are Ray and Margie Doll. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Campbell. Great-grandmothers are Cora Campbell and Mae Braden. Special thanks to Drs. Kristin Nicole Garman was born September 9, 1995 at 6:11 p.m. at Lewis Gale Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 ozs., and was 19 inches long. Her proud parents are Glen and Carla Garman. Grandparents are Alma DeHart and the late Walter L. DeHart, Larry and Margaret Garman. The attending physician was James A. Kelly.

Harman birth

Rick and Cathy Harman are proud to announce the birth of their daughter and Brandon's sister, Cara Marie Harman. Cara was born on November 4, 1995 at 3:42 p.m. at Community Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. 11/4 oz., and was 193/4 inches long. Grandparents are Jim and Barbara Young, and Rick and Peggy Harman. Great-grandparents are Byron and Arline Pultz, Earl and Mabel Pannell, and Marie Young. Special thanks to our L & D nurse, Sherry Bess, and to our attending physician, Dr. Lee McLennan for a memorable delivery! Thanks most of all to God for answering our prayers and blessing us with another healthy and precious child.

Markham birth

Hannah Renee' Markham was born October 15, 1995, at 10:46 a.m. at Lewis Gale Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21 inches long. Her parents are Sam and Anne Markham. Grandparent are Allen and Agnes Levin and Buddy and Dean Markham; great-grandmother is Myrtle McLeod.

Proehl birth

Matt and Dana Proehl are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Kelsey Renea. Born Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1995, at 1:14 p.m., she weighed 6 lbs. 131/4 oz. and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Lewis and Jean Huff of Hardy and Glen and Sharon Proehl of Moneta. Great-grandmothers are Kathy Huff and Louise Worley. Great-great grandmother is Alice McKee. A special thank you to Dr. J. Dennis Hancock.

Lenny and Donna Wright would like to thank the 2nd floor staff of Lewis-Gale Hospital for the wonderful care given during a recent hospital stay involving the birth of our son, Zachary Daniel. A special thank you goes to the attending physician Dr. Kelly and the labor and delivery nurses Aliene, Jodi and Donna. We are truly grateful for all the help you gave our family during this special time.

Ward birth

Richard and Nancy Ward are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Megan Elise Ward. She was born at Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley, October 5th, 1995, at 9:52 a.m. weighing in at 7 pounds 2.1 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She has a 21/2 year old brother, Alexander. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James W. Alderman of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Mrs. William A. Ward of Bryant, South Dakota. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Alderman of Hillsville, Virginia.

Attending physician was Dr. McLennan. A special thanks to Drs. Farber, Garcia, McLennan and Staff, 6th and 7th floor nursing staff and to the Neonatologists for their wonderful care and support

Whitney birth

Big sister, Allie, is very proud to announce the arrival of her beautiful new baby sister, Sage Marie Whitney. She arrived on October 25, 1995, at 3:32 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 111/4 ozs., and was 203/4 inches long. Proud parents are Bruce and Donna. Her grandparents are Tommy and Mary Lawrence of Hardy, and Fern Sage Whitney of Osawatomie, Kansas. Great-grandmother is Mildred Lawrence of Daytona Beach, Fla. Sage and family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Lee McLennan and the wonderful nurses at OB/GYN Assoc. of Roanoke Valley. Mom would like to offer a very special thank you to L&D nurses Lucy Lentz and Vitta Veloso for all their help on such a special day.
