F-C REMAINS UNBEATEN

Fieldale-Collinsville held Tunstall to 16 points in the first half and held off a third-quarter rally to remain unbeaten, winning 66-54 on Monday night in a Piedmont District boys' game in Collinsville.

Brad Harmon scored a game-high 23 points for the Cavaliers, who led 24-16 at the half. The Trojans (1-3 overall, 1-3 district) cut their deficit to five in the third period, but never got any closer the rest of the way.

Andre Law had 12 points and point guard Delvin Joyce added eight rebounds, eight steals, seven points and seven assists for Fieldale-Collinsville (3-0, 3-0).

Lashon Atkins and Lorenzo Preston scored 12 points each for Tunstall.

Parry McCluer 53, Stuarts Draft 50: Boo Rowsey scored six of his team-leading 15 points in the second quarter as the Fighting Blues (4-0) nipped the Cougars (1-1) in a non-district matchup in Buena Vista.

Parry McCluer connected on 10 of 14 field-goal attempts in the fourth quarter to protect a five-point advantage.

Charlies Hatter led the Cougars with 17 points.

Radford 63, Fort Chiswell 50: Larnell Lewis and Derrick Chapman combined to score 24 of the Bobcats' 26 fourth-quarter points as they rallied past the Pioneers in a non-district game in Radford.

Chapman, a junior forward, scored 14 of his game-high 27 points in the final period. Lewis had 10 of his 19 in the quarter for the Bobcats (1-1).

Fort Chiswell (1-2) was led by T.J. King with 15 points.

James River 81, Shawsville 48: Shahan Burrell scored 10 of his 21 points in the opening quarter, and the Knights (3-0) used a full-court press to take an early lead and roll past the Shawnees (1-2) in a non-district matchup in Buchanan.

Chris Graham paced Shawsville (1-2) with 11 points.

Covington Boys' Home 72, Craig County 63: Sean Riddick scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Indians (6-0) pulled away from the Rockets (0-1) to win a non-district game in Covington.

Freddy Portillo led Boys' Home with 21 points, including five 3-pointers.

Craig County was led by Jamie Fisher and Eric Gillingham, who scored 21 each.

Galax 78, Auburn 53: Jeff Ross scored a game-high 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as the Maroon Tide rolled past the Eagles in a non-district game in Riner

Auburn (0-5) was led by Kenny Wojciechowski, who scored 17 points.
