AUTHOR TO VISIT BOOKSTORES

Virginia author William Fox Conner, whose book "Memory's Glass" has been nominated for both a Pulitzer Prize and a Pushcart Prize, will make appearances at two local bookstores.

Conner will be at Volume II Bookstore, Thursday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. He will be at Books, Strings & Things, Friday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Memory's Glass" presents Conner's childhood and youth in rural Botetourt County from the late 1940s through the mid-1950s.

Conner teaches at Principia College in Elsah, Ill.
