Christiansburg
St. Peter's Anglican Catholic Church on West First Street will observe the fourth Sunday in Advent at 8:20 a.m. on Christmas Eve. Celebrations of the Holy Eucharist will occur at 8:30 and 10 a.m. A carol service is scheduled for 10:30 p.m., followed by the Holy Eucharist at 11 p.m. On Christmas Day, the church will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. 382-5246.
Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Cambria Street will have a family celebration featuring carols, the Christmas story and Holy Communion Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. At 11 p.m., the church will celebrate Holy Night Communion at 11 p.m. with the Christmas Gospel, carols and music. 382-2223.
Good Shepherd Baptist Church on Dunlap Drive will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m., featuring carols, observance of the Lord's Supper and lighting of the candles. 382-0691.
Holy Spirit Catholic Church, meeting at our Saviour Lutheran Church on Cambria Street, will have Christmas Mass at 5 p.m. today and at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve. Saturday's readings will be Isaiah 7:10-14; Romans 1:1-7; and Matthew 1:18-24. Sunday's readings will be Isaiah 62:1-5; Acts 13: 16-17, 22-25; and Matthew 1:18-25.
Christiansburg Presbyterian Church will have combined Sunday School classes at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, featuring a light breakfast. The 11 a.m. service will feature the Chancel Choir. At 5 p.m. the church will have a family service, and at 7 p.m., a candle lighting ceremony. 382-2802.
Blacksburg
Christ Episcopal Church on Church Street will celebrate the fourth Sunday in Advent with a Christmas Pageant and observance of the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. Christmas Eve, followed by the Greening of the Church. At 8 p.m. the church will conduct the Holy Eucharist, Rite II, and at 11 p.m., the church will conduct the Holy Eucharist, Rite I.
On Christmas Day, the church will conduct the Holy Eucharist, Rite II at 11 a.m.
On Thursday, the church will conduct the Holy Eucharist at noon, and on Dec. 31, the first Sunday of Christmas, the church will conduct the Holy Eucharist, Rite I, at 8 a.m., and at 11 a.m, the Holy Eucharist, Rite II.
The church will celebrate the Epiphany Jan. 6 at 5:30 p.m. with a potluck supper, program and Eucharist. Nursery care will be provided at many of these events. 552-2411.

Blacksburg United Methodist Church at Church and Lee streets will have Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m., with a service of worship, music and celebration for families, and at 8 p.m., a service of scripture, carols, candles and Holy Communion.
