Games, sports, fireworks, music and food. These are just some of the activities that will be going on at the annual Straight Street New Year's Eve Lock-In Party.
The alcohol free party is for teens in grades 7-12. The party will start at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 and will continue to 7 a.m. Jan. 1. The event will be at the Merrimac Community Center.
Cost is $10 per person or $7 per person for groups of five or more. Each person is required to sign a release form which will be available at the door the night of the party. Forms also are available at New Life Bookstores or the Straight Street office in Christiansburg.
There will be several tournaments, including basketball, volleyball, ping pong, talent show and gong show. Cash prizes will be awarded.
